A equipa de Esteves Alves & Carvalho, Lda. desenvolveu a mais recente Lavadora de Queijos, capaz de lavar 2000 queijos por hora. A máquina incluí um sistema rotativo e fixo de lavagem e um software que permite a adaptação a qualquer tipo de queijo. Nelson Mendes, responsável pelo projeto, afirma que a inovação deste modelo se prende com o facto de “não haver máquinas deste género no mercado”, pois o desenho e a integração de chuveiros permite a ausência das escovas que poderão danificar os queijos e obrigam a uma manutenção e higienização extra. A máquina permite lavagem automática e contínua, potenciando a cadência de lavagem.
“O cliente poderá beneficiar deste equipamento completamente automático e sem operadores se estiver aplicado numa linha. No caso de a máquina estar montada de forma independente, necessita apenas de um operador à entrada e outro à saída do equipamento, capitalizando os outros operadores ligados à tarefa da lavagem manual para outras áreas e funções. Por outro lado, o equipamento está concebido com tecnologia que permite eficiência energética e de água”, afirma Nelson Mendes.
A máquina foi instalada na empresa de produção de queijo e requeijão de ovelha Queijos Tavares, SA.

Esteves Alves & Carvalho, Lda. team has developed the latest Cheese Washer, capable of washing 2000 cheeses per hour. The machine includes a rotary and fixed washing system and a software that allows the adaptation to any type of cheese. Nelson Mendes, responsible for the project, states that the innovation of this model is due to the fact that “there are no machines of this kind in the market”, beacause the design and the integration of showers allows the absence of brushes that could damage the cheese and force maintenece and hygiene. The machine allows automatic and continuous washing, boosting the washing rate.
"The customer will be able to benefit from this completely automatic equipment without operators if it is applied in a line. In case the machine is installed independently, it only needs one operator at the entrance and another at the exit of the equipment, capitalizing the other operators connected to the task of manual washing to other areas and functions. On the other hand, the equipment is designed with technology that allows energy and water efficiency" says Nelson Mendes.
The machine was installed in the company of cheese and cheese curd Queijos Tavares, SA.
